Parental Support Part 1

Writer's picture: Beloved BelliesBeloved Bellies

It is easy to get caught up in daily routines as we prioritize important tasks. And as understandable as that is, we must make time to check in with and on our village, especially new moms!

There have been various studies performed measuring the degrees of stress and support from the communities around new parents. The findings stated mothers without strong support from a community had higher levels of stress, and mothers with higher levels of stress were more worn down and pessimistic about parenting...🤔not really surprising, huh.

So how can we support new parents? The solution is quite simple, be of service! Cook a meal, help with cleaning, do some laundry, babysit, or just keep the new mommy company. Offering assistance is wonderful, but sometimes just doing the task speaks volumes.
